We identify existing climate projects in Mossoró and beyond, analyzing gaps, synergies, and opportunities. By connecting local, regional, and national efforts, we create an integrated framework for adaptation that avoids fragmented, isolated solutions.
Through active participation in climate adaptation planning, residents gain tools to analyze their own vulnerability to heatwaves, floods, and precarious housing. We ensure adaptation strategies are context-specific, collaborative, and responsive to those most affected.
Climate change exacerbates inequalities related to gender, race, class, age, and disability. We actively co-create knowledge with marginalized groups—particularly women, youth, and the elderly—to inform decision-making for truly inclusive solutions.
At the heart of our vision is prioritizing those in precarious conditions. We focus on enhancing resilience and improving quality of life for the most vulnerable, ensuring adaptation efforts advance social equity and justice.
Our project is strategically positioned to influence Brazil's National Climate Plan 2024-2035 and contribute to the 2025 UN Climate Change Conference (COP 30) in Brazil. We transform local insights into national and international climate action.
